I created Pilates for Lyme disease because I saw a need in the Pilates industry for education and support for Pilates teachers surrounding this incredibly complex illness. After years of working with clients who were experiencing symptoms, as well as my own personal struggles with the disease (and other Lyme co-infections), I realized that there was a lot to learn and not a lot of information out there. As a Pilates teacher, I firmly believe that movement is medicine. While Pilates cannot cure Lyme Disease, it can do a lot to help alleviate many of its physical and emotional symptoms.
Lyme disease is a bacterial infection caused by the bite of an infected tick. It is confirmed in all 50 states as well as dozens of countries around the world.
